Amped Advanced Technology Training (Accepting Applications)
Amped is offering a free 12-week paid training program that leads to industry-recognized certifications and entry-level jobs in IT that typically offer annual salaries of $40,000-$45,000 per year. Students can receive up to $7,050 in stipend pay during the course of their Amped training.
During the program, you will receive in-depth training and a chance to obtain up to two essential certifications:
- MS-102 certification in Microsoft 365 Administrator
- AZ-900 certification in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
Upon completion, you’ll be equipped with the skills and certifications needed to pursue a variety of roles in the IT industry, including help desk support, field tech support, operations analysts, network analysts, and more!
Classes meet from 9am-4pm each weekday, and students are paid up to $450 per week ($15/hour). Students are also eligible for stipend bonuses once they pass their certification exams.
Attendance requirements at Amped’s training is strictly enforced, and all students selected for the cohort must pass their MS-102 certification within the first six weeks of the program in order to remain through weeks 7-12.

Requirements for the training:
- 18 years of age or older
- Pre-work must be completed prior to the start of the course
- Orientation and Interview must be completed as part of the application process. Available Orientation Dates Include:
- Tuesday, December 10th, 2024 – 4:30PM
- Thursday, December 12th, 2024 – 4:30 PM
- Monday, December 16th, 2024 – 11:30 AM
- Wednesday, December 18th, 2024 – 4:30 PM
- All Orientations will be located at 1219 W. Jefferson Street Suite 206, Louisville KY 40203
- Attend Class in Person with strict attendance policy
Eligibility Criteria:
- Our program is for Louisville residents age 18 or older who want to start a career in IT Support regardless of previous tech experience. Priority participation will be given to low-income residents from low-income zip codes in Jefferson County which especially include 40202, 40203, 40208, 40209, 40210, 40211, 40212, 40215, and 40216 as well as portions of 40213, 40218, and 40219
Once the application is filled out, the participant will be notified what the next steps will be. In general, the application process includes an orientation, pre-assessments, interview, and pre-work.
Schedule:
- Students will have to attend a mandatory orientation prior to the start of the class
- This cohort training will be 12 weeks
- The next cohort class will start on February 3rd, 2025
